The City of Ripon’s Parks & Recreation Department announced that the special showing of “Jungle Cruise” set for this week is postponed until next month.
“We had to move it due to the heat,” said Recreation Director Kye Stevens at Tuesday’s Ripon City Council meeting.
With the forecast calling for more hot weather, he noted that such temperatures would not make for enjoyable conditions to those planning to attend this free movie.
Disney’s “Jungle Cruise” has been rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 23, at the Mistlin Sports Park Amphitheater.
Gates are scheduled to open at 7 p.m. with the movie staring at about 8 o’clock.
“Grab your favorite snacks, a cozy blanket, and round up your friends and family for a memorable movie night under the starts,” said the City of Ripon website.
