The Ripon Police Department welcomed four new officers and three dispatchers.

They were administered the oath of office Thursday by City Clerk Lisa Roos during a special ceremony held in the Council Chamber.

The new officers are Alexander Simmons, Joseph Figone, and Charles Sperbeck.

“Each of them took the oath of office as they entered the noble profession of becoming police officers,” police said via social media.

The newly hired dispatchers are Briana Myers, Jesika Esquivel, and Meghan Devlin. They, too, were sworn in.

In addition, Jared Heuvel was honored that day. He was sworn in for his promotion to lieutenant.

“Each time we hold a swearing-in ceremony, it is always a serious moment that holds significant weight.

“Fewer and fewer people are willing to answer the call in an ever-changing world – the demands required by officers and dispatchers alike are challenging,” police added.
