Ripon Police Lieutenant Danny Sauer knows a little bit about law enforcement leadership.
Sauer completed the FBI-Leeda Executive Leadership Institute in San Bernardino – a feat that when coupled with his previous completion of the Supervisory Leadership Institute and Command Leadership Institute earned him the prestigious FBI-Leeda “Trilogy” Award.
According to the Ripon Police Department, the respective courses – and others that are selected by Chief Ed Ormonde – are part of the agency’s “succession planning” that ensures that as the agency continues to grow, staff within the agency are equipped to promote into leadership positions.
FBI-Leeda is a non-profit organization also known as the Law Enforcement Executive Development Association and has been providing training sessions for law enforcement officials across the United States for more than 20 years – courses that, according to the Ripon Police Department, are “designed to advance the science and art of law enforcement leadership and promote the exchange of information to improve law enforcement management practices through training, education, and networking among police professionals across the United States and beyond.”
Sauer serves as the second-in-command in the Ripon Police Department behind Ormonde as the two comprise the agency’s administrative team.
