Ripon Police hosts Western States K-9 competition Saturday

The Ripon Police Department K-9 Unit will take part in Saturday’s Western States Police Canine Association K-9 trial at the Ripon Christian High football field, from 8 a.m. to about 2 p.m.

The Ripon Police Department will host Saturday’s Western States Police Canine Association K-9 competition.

Police K-9 Units from throughout the state will be showcasing their skills in obedience, patrol / apprehension, and the obstacle course.

The Ripon Police K-9 Trial will take place at the Ripon Christian High football field, 435 Maple Ave., beginning at 8 a.m.

“This is the end of the year trial with team awards up for grabs,” said WSPCA, which is a non-profit organization, via social media.
