The Ripon Police Department announced Thursday the arrest of Luis Silva.

He’s suspected of taking part in a burglary that occurred at a business located in the 700 block of North Jack Tone Road on May 7.

Local police had responded to an alarm call back then, arriving on the scene and observing that a burglary had occurred. The suspect, however, had already left area.

Detectives took over the case, and were able to identify the suspect after a thorough investigation, according to the Ripon Police Department via social media.

“Detectives secured an arrest warrant and responded to a residence in Ceres today,” police added.

Silva, 36, was taken into custody and booked into San Joaquin County Jail on charges of felony burglary.
