The City of Ripon is accepting signups for the upcoming Dog Training classes.
These sessions under the direction of Bone-a-Fide Dog Training will begin next month on Wednesdays at the lower gazebo in the back of Stouffer Park. The deadline for the April / May session registration is March 29.
According to the City of Ripon, each class is an hour long with a question-and-answer session scheduled after classes (up to 30 minutes).
A minimum of four dogs will need to be registered prior to the end-of-the-month deadline in order to run a class session.
The goal is for the dog to have good manners with people as well as other dogs while obeying the owner’s commands in distracting situations.
Children age 10 and older who are able to handle their dog will be allowed to participate as long as they have control and are accompanied by a parent.
All dogs must be 5 months or older and have all their shots (rabies, distemper, parvo, etc.).
The class schedule is as followed:
· April 3 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
· April 10 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
· April 17 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
· April 24 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
· May 1 – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
