The City of Ripon could soon have Grover Landscape Services handling the Landscape Repair Project.

This is in response to the recent 2023 Strategic Planning meeting when Ripon City Council identified, as a priority, addressed a number of landscape issues around town.

At the 6 p.m. monthly session in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave., elected leaders are expected to give the green light for staff to proceed with the hiring of Grover Landscape Services, Inc. in the amount of $217,755, using miscellaneous department Capital Funds.

The Landscape Repair Projects consists of plans to spruce up the sections of Canal Boulevard, Colony Road, Milgeo Avenue, North Ripon Road, West Ripon Road, and Jack Tone Road. Included would be demolition, grading, irrigation repair, planting, and other activities on the Project Plans.

Grover Landscape Services was one of five bidding for this project, and were awarded the Landscape Repair Project as the low bidder.

 In other agenda items:

• Council members will approve and authorize an agreement for City Attorney Legal Services with the Law Office of Thomas H. Terpstra Jr. to provide such services for the City of Ripon.

• They’ll approve a change order with American Pavement Systems, Inc., which calls for the regrading of Third Street, installation of reflective markers on Canal Boulevard and Highland Avenue, and putting in additional materials used in slurry seal and three-layer treatment of roads, to not exceed $57,176 (funding sources will consist of Street & Road Operating, and Water Enterprise Capital funds).
