RIPON MAIN STREET DAY
Street fair, car show, fun run, breakfast this Saturday
main street car show
This classic Buick sedan was part of the previous year Main Street Day car show in Ripon.

Main Street Day will take place on Saturday.

The 38th annual event sponsored by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce will feature a car show – over 100 vehicles will be on display along downtown – a variety of vendor booths, pet parade, and a pancake breakfast.

That’s just for starters.

The “Meet Me at Main Street” – the Chamber of Commerce booth will be selling t-shirts with that theme – event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Main Street Day will be held along Historic Downtown Ripon, from Acacia Avenue to Industrial Avenue.

Those attending can kick-off their Main Street Day morning with the Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Ripon Consolidated Fire District at Station 1, 142 S. Stockton Ave., from 7 to 11 o’clock. Cost is $11 for adults, $7 for children (7-12), and free for youngsters age 6 and under.

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the Ripon Volunteer Fireman’s Association.

The Calvary Kid Zone will take place in the parking lot of BMO (formerly Bank of the West).

Calvary Reformed Church will feature activities such as pumpkin decorating, a fall photo booth, fishing prize game, and balloon animals (9 a.m. to noon), to name a few.

The Ripon Unified School District will have its Fun Color Run.

Main Street Day, in addition, will offer up great food choices, music, a petting zoo, Ripon Memorial Library book sale, and arts & crafts.
