The City of Ripon uses a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition – otherwise known as SCADA – to monitor and control the pumps, lift stations, and towers for the storm drain systems.
With the recent opening of the Fleet Maintenance Facility, SCADA, which is currently located at the old corporate yard on Vera Avenue, will need to be moved to the new city yard along nearby Doak Boulevard.
At today’s monthly session, the Ripon City Council will look to approve the cost to relocate, configure, and program the equipment not to exceed $34,090, which would be paid via Corp Yard AB1600 Fund, Enterprise Capital Funds, and General Capital Fund.
Elected leaders recently approved moving other items – specifically, office and conference room furniture, mobile vehicle column lifts, and various computer equipment – from the old corporate yard to the Fleet Maintenance Facility, which had its ribbon-cutting ceremony several weeks ago.
The 6 p.m. meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
In other agenda items:
• Council members are scheduled to adopt the amendment to the chapter of “Nuisance,” which provided a more streamlined process to deal with weeds, rubbish, and other property maintenance standards within the city.
• They’ll hear a staff report on an update regarding the South San Joaquin Irrigation District Surface Water Connection Project.
• Price Paige & Company will provide the recently completed audit of the City of Ripon’s Financial Statements and the Money Purchase Thrift Pension Plan for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2034. Resolutions of that will be presented in the December meeting for acceptance.
