Woodland Construction Builders, Inc. is handling the work at Wine & Spirit Retail Center at the Ripon Crossing shopping center.

Construction at the Ripon Crossing shopping center is shaping up.

Grappa Market & (Shell) Gas Station / Reefs Car Wash at 710 N. Jack Tone Rd. is in the home stretch towards completion.

According to the recent City of Ripon Development Project Status report, the gas station, car wash and landscaping for the entire site was estimated to be done by this month.

Work continued this week at the two other projects, Ride 209 Fitness and the Wine & Spirit Retail Center.

Both are being spearheaded by Woodland Construction Builders, Inc. of Salida.

Wine & Spirit Retail Center at 798 N. Jack Tone Rd. (next to Tractor Supply Co. and Burger King / Popeye Chickens) is a 7,498-square-foot business along the lines of a Bev Mo or Total Wine & More.

Ride 209 Fitness is a 25,554-square-foot, two-story facility at 720 Jack Tone Rd. and 1551 Canal Blvd. The gym is currently operating at a space in an industrial area at 1475 Moffat Blvd. in Manteca.

Ride 209 Fitness will feature indoor cycling along with classes such as Pilates, Barre, boxing, yoga, strength training, and sports recovery, to name a few.

The status of other projects in town include:

·         Liberty Self Storage – Construction on the 170,300 square foot self-storage facility at 502 E. Fourth St. Once completed, it will allow folks to store their RV and / or boat.

·         Fleet Maintenance Facility – The new corporate yard of the City of Ripon is nearly completed. Diede Construction Inc. is handling the work on the 12,500 square foot vehicle maintenance building.

·         Towneplace Suites by Marriott Hotel – The plan check is completed with the 54,382-square-foot, four-story hotel project at 333 E. Main St. recently receiving a six-month extension.

·         Ripon Christian Schools bus maintenance and storage yard – The permit was issued and construction is underway on converting an existing contractor business at 775 Frontage Rd. into a bus maintenance and storage yard for RC Schools.

·         RC Schools Green House and Grounds Maintenance Facility – The permit was recently issued on site at 435 Maple Ave. (across from RC Schools campus). Plans call for the demolishing of the existing bus barn and shop building in order to construct a new greenhouse and grounds maintenance facility.

·         Avid Candlewood Suites – A fourth plan check was pending engineering approval on the 54,338-square-foot, four-story, 107-room hotel at 1499 Jack Tone Rd., located next door to the Flying J Travel Center.

·         Quack Car Wash – Construction continued on the express car wash located at 1450 Brady Ln. in the Save Mart Shopping Center.

·         Van De Pol Fueling Canopy – The proposal to install a fueling canopy over the existing fueling pumps at 816 Frontage Rd. is awaiting plan submittals to install curb, gutter, sidewalk, and landscaping.

·         Noosa Energy Project – The applicant for battery energy storage project at 1302 Frontage Rd. has not submitted plans yet but is seeking an extension on the entitlements. An extension hearing was set to go before the Ripon Planning Commission this month but was rescheduled to a future meeting.
