Ripon FFA, Legion Post 190, House of Praise selling fireworks at Ripon booths

The Ripon High Future Farmers of America chapter are once again selling safe and sane fireworks in a rather familiar location.

The booth for the annual fundraiser is at corner of West Main Street and North Wilma Avenue in the Ace Hardware shopping center.

“We did OK during the evening,” said FFA member Alyssa Manchester, who is an incoming senior at RHS.

One of the reasons for that was the Ripon Farmers Market, she noted. Held each Thursday evenings at the nearby Garden Joy, many who attend this summer event use the very parking lot that’s home to the Phantom Fireworks booth.

Manchester and her fellow FFA members also enjoy the convenience of their fireworks booth being close to businesses such as the Ripon Coffehouse, Dollar General, and others for relief of the heat expected for the weekend.

Proceeds from the firework sales will help pay for the upcoming FFA leadership conferences, jackets, and uniforms, to name a few.

Firework booths in Ripon will be in operation through the Fourth of July.
