The Ripon Consolidated Fire District just announced the delivery of the brand-new 2024 Type I Fire Engine.
Fire Chief Eric DeHart called this a “state-of-the-arts apparatus.”
The new fire engine will replace the current engine that served RCFD for well over a decade.
During that time, the old fire vehicle managed to accumulate over 120,000 miles.
“This new addition to the fleet is a great example of how continued growth and development within the district directly supports critical capital projects.
“The engine was purchased two years ago and being funded by development impact fees — a reflection of the strong, ongoing growth throughout the area,” said RCFD via social media.
Added DeHart: “We are excited to get this new apparatus into service – we’re confident it will serve the district and our residents for the next 20 years.”
RCFD remains committed to ensuring firefighters have the tools they need to respond quickly, efficiently, and safely.
This new engine gives RCFD with the tools needed to fulfill its mission of “protecting what’s important.”
Those who participated in the Ripon First Responders Appreciation Day last Saturday had a chance to see RCFD’s newest addition.
