No longer out of sight, out of mind.
Not too long ago, The Little Cottage Antiques & Gifts moved from the standalone building behind downtown Ripon Roadhouse, to the much-traveled shopping center on North Wilma Avenue and West Main Street.
“We’re seeing more foot traffic,” said owner Meredith Wheeler on Thursday.
She and her husband, Les Wheeler, purchased the shop formerly located at 113 E. Main St. from Sharon and Dave Sanchez (prior to that, they had the business for about four years) back in April 2023 – Sharon Sanchez still works at The Little Cottage Antiques & Gifts, sharing her business experience with Meredith Wheeler.
They’ve been at the new address, 1201 W. Main St. Ste. 4, since July 2.
They also enjoy having the business facing busy North Wilma Avenue, sandwiched in between Brothers Restaurant and Sunshine Donuts.
The Ripon Chamber of Commerce will be having a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. The public is invited to this open house event, which will feature a drawing of a gift basket every 30 minutes, snacks, and refreshments.
The Little Cottage Antiques & Gifts is the same business as before. “We’re more than antiques – we have soaps, candles, purses, and other (new) gift items,” said Sharon Sanchez.
Home décor ideas include the Dixie Belle chalk paints & redesigned by Prima, vintage-style trucker caps, and Suzy’s Zoo items, to name a few.
Hours of operation is Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
