Several projects are in the works at the Ripon Crossing shopping center.
Grappa Market & (Shell) Gas Station along with the Reefs Car Wash is nearing the completion stages.
The project located at 710 N. Jack Tone Road received the go-ahead from the city back in July 2020, according to the City of Ripon Development Projects Status Report from last month.
Behind the convenience store / gas station / car wash is Ride 209 Fitness.
Woodland Construction Builders Inc. is spearheading the efforts on this 25,554 square foot, two-story facility at 720 Jack Tone Road. and 1551 Canal Blvd. Ride 209, which features indoor cycling along with a variety of fitness classes – Pilates, Barre, boxing, yoga, strength training, and sports recovery, to name a few – is currently located at 1475 Moffat Blvd. in Manteca.
Ride 209 Fitness project was approved by the city in Aug. 15, 2020.
Work is also taking place on the Wine & Spirit Retail Center, 798 N. Jack Tone Rd. (next to Tractor Supply Co. and Burger King / Popeye Chickens). Once completed, this 7,498 square foot business, once completed, promises to be similar to that of Bev Mo! or Total Wine & More.
The status of other projects in town include:
· Liberty Self Storage – Construction on the 170,300 square foot self-storage facility began not too long ago. Liberty is located at 502 E. Fourth St., and will allow for RV / boat storage, once completed.
· The Terraces at Bethany Home – Work by Quiring of Pleasanton continues on the three story, 104,700 square foot building expansion to Bethany Home, a premiere religious-based retirement community.
· Fleet Maintenance Facility – The new corporate yard of the City of Ripon will replace the outdated one located a few blocks away on Doak Boulevard. Diede Construction Inc. is handling the work on the 12,500 square foot vehicle maintenance building.
· Towneplace Suites by Marriott Hotel – The building permit has been issued on the 54,382 square foot, four-story hotel at 333 E. Main St., with the developer indicating that groundbreaking is set for January.
· Ripon Christian Schools bus maintenance and storage yard – Construction is currently underway on converting an existing contractor business at 775 Frontage Rd. into a bus maintenance and storage yard for RC Schools.
· RC Schools Green House and Grounds Maintenance Facility – A second plan check was recently resubmitted on the project located at 435 Maple Ave. The proposal calls for the demolishing of the existing bus barn and shop building in order to construct a new greenhouse and grounds maintenance facility.
· Avid Candlewood Suites – A fourth plan check was completed (permit ready to be issued) on the 54,338 square foot, four-story, 107-room hotel at 1499 Jack Tone Rd., next to the Flying J Travel Center.
· Quack Car Wash – Construction on the express car wash located at 1450 Brady Lane in the Save Mart Shopping Center is currently underway.
