Rickman raises $146,000 in re-election bid

San Joaquin County Supervisor Robert Rickman raised $146,000 toward his re-election effort as of the June 30 fundraising report deadline.

Rickman was first elected in 2020 and recently announced his re-election bid accompanied by dozens of local San Joaquin County endorsements. 
He is running in the March 5, 2024 to represent Ripon, rural south Manteca, Escalon, Tracy, and Mountain House.

Rickman also announced a re-election endorsement from Congressman John Duarte.

Congressman Duarte represents California's 13th Congressional District which includes a portion of southern San Joaquin County and overlaps some of Supervisor Rickman's District 5. Duarte was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022.
Congressman Duarte is a fourth-generation farmer currently serving on the House Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Transportation and Infrastructure Committees.

"I am grateful for Congressman Duarte's support and the support of so many across our agriculture community. In San Joaquin County, we are blessed with a tremendous resource that we need to ensure will be a vibrant industry and provide jobs for generations to come," noted Supervisor Rickman regarding the endorsement.

Rickman is a third-generation San Joaquin County resident.

He graduated from Tracy High School and attended San Joaquin Delta College and Sacramento State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree.

Rickman also earned a Juris Doctor degree from Humphrey's School of Law. He was first elected to the Tracy City Council in 2010, then elected as Tracy's Mayor in 2016, and re-elected in 2018. Supervisor Rickman is married with two adult daughters
