The Giving Tree is currently on display in the lobby of Precision Automotive.
Between now and Dec. 20, the public along with local businesses are invited to stop by the Manteca auto shop at 475 Moffat Blvd. and support a resident of the Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center by picking up a decorative wish-list bulb that’s hanging on the Christmas tree.
Each bulb will have three items – as jotted down by those at the local nursing home – serving as Christmas gift ideas at the upcoming holiday gathering.
Debbie Robles said that the Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center is still uncertain on hosting a Christmas party.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the holiday plans have been strictly a residents-only event, Robles noted.
She said that this year’s Giving Tree has 83 bulbs. “I told (residents) to keep it simple on their three wishes,” Robles added.
For the past 17 years, Precision Automotive has partnered with the Manteca Care & Rehabilitation Center on the Giving Tree – those taking part in this Secret Santa program can add more gifts outside of the wish-list bulb.
Raj Lal has maintained that tradition after taking over Precision Auto some seven years ago.
Precision Auto is open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
