Darien East, a 13-year-old that ran away from his Manteca home, is currently being sought by the Manteca Police Department

The Manteca Police Department is currently looking for any information that the public may have about a missing 13-year-old runaway that hasn’t been seen since April 1.

Darien East was last seen as his residence in Manteca at 10 p.m. on April 1 and has not returned. His absence spurred a round of sharing on local social media channels over the last several days – days that just happened to coincide with the Manteca Police searching for another missing teenager that ended up returning home.

In a post announcing the search for 17-year-old Salathiel Lewis and his subsequent return on the Manteca Police Department’s Facebook, several members of the community posted East’s picture inquiring about whether he was currently being sought.

East is described as an African American male standing 5-foot, 5-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen at his home in Manteca and it is not known where he was headed when he left.

Anybody with any information about East’s whereabouts – either currently or over the last several days – is encouraged to contact the Manteca Police Department dispatch number at 209.456.8101.
