Park-a-Palooza: End of summer blast is Saturday

The Sugar High band is one of three bands playing.

The Manteca Recreation & Community Services end of summer bash — Park-A-Palooza — is at Woodward Park on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 5 to 10 p.m..

There will be three bands performing in addition to food trucks, a beer and wine garden, other vendors, a big truck show as well as kids crafts and activities.

The bands performing are Triple D, Sugar High Band, and G’psy Soul.

There is free entry to the event.

No outside alcohol is permitted.

All dogs must be on a leash.

Other upcoming community event include:

 *MUSIC ON MAPLE: A night of classic low rider oldies is the theme of the next Music on Maple taking place in the 100 block of Maple Avenue in downtown Manteca starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Enter your car or truck in the car show for a chance at prizes.

*MOVIES IN THE PARK: “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is the featured film at the Movies in the Park taking place on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Woodward Park.

It starts at 5 p.m. with food trucks, games, live music and more. The movie starts at sundown.

*MUSIC ON  MAPLE: Hispanic Heritage Month is the theme for the Thursday, Sept. 19, Music on Maple in the 100 block of Maple Avenue in downtown starting at 6 p.m.

It will enjoy Latin musical hits, a Mariachi band and Folklorico dancing.

Various Latino businesses will offer treats and eats.
