The Manteca Citty Council may authorize the seeking of  bids tonight to replace chain link fencing at the golf course along Crom Street.

The council meets at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center, 1001 W. Center St.

Overall, the existing 6-foot chain link along Crom Street overall is old and dilapidated. 

There are several sections that have damaged during storms or vandalized. 

The missing sections that have temporary fencing are being vandalized on a weekly basis, causing staff to allocate additional time and resources

 The replacement chain link fencing could be black if a bid alternative comes in under budget.

The overall cost is expected to be $140,000 to demolish and replace the fence.
