The Fleet Maintenance Facility on Doak Boulevard is nearing completion.
What’s still needed is furnishing equipment for the new corporate yard, including that of a mobile vehicle column lifts and support stands.
“These lifts and stands will be used for the larger vehicles and equipment within the fleet including garbage trucks, buss, roll-off trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, etc.,” said Public Works Director James Pease in his report for tonight’s Ripon City Council meeting.
The monthly session will begin at 6 o’clock in the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave.
As part of the Fleet Maintenance Facility Project, elected leaders approved at their Dec. 13 meeting $500,000 to be allocated for City furnished items.
Of that, $41,443 were approved at last month’s meeting for office and conference room furniture.
Other items on the list are computers/network/printer/phones/monitors along with miscellaneous shop storage/shelving.
Cost for the mobile vehicle column lifts and support stands, as quoted from Stertil-Koni – the market leader in safe and dependable heavy duty vehicle lifts – is $171,182.
Payment, once approved, would come from AB1600 Fund, Enterprise Capital Fund, and General Capital Fund.
Staff is recommending approval from the City Council on this purchase.
In other agenda items:
A change order is requested on the Fleet Maintenance Facility Project for additional electrical circuit, vinyl window tint, and gas piping, in the amount not to exceed $28,917.
A proclamation from the City will recognize Ripon Christian High athletes for their recent outstanding accomplishments.
A resolution to adopt the City of Ripon Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget.
