Maverick gas station seeks an extension

Maverik is seeking a one-year extension of the approval of a proposed gas station on the northwest corner of Atherton Drive and Airport Way.

The request is before the Manteca Planning Commission when they meet tonight at 6 o’clock.

It is part of the Manteca Crossing project where a Quick Quack Car Wash is now under construction.

Already committed to locating in the shopping center is Manteca’s second Chick-fil-A as well as what will be the city’s third Dutch Bros. drive thru coffee.

Manteca Crossings will also include:

*A four-story, 117-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel with 112 parking spaces.

*220 parking stalls situated around the 55,000-square-foot major tenant building developers indicated they are targeting a supermarket as the tenant.

*47,200 square feet of additional retail and restaurant space with 291 parking stalls, There will be eight buildings including one with a wraparound lane that can accommodate a coffee or fast food drive thru

The Maverik gas station with 14 fueling stations, 8 commercial fueling stations, and a 6,140-square-foot convenience store with 38 parking spaces.

The Maverick convenience store building is approximately 6,140 square feet.

It will provide fueling, packaged beer and wine sales, as well as fresh food items, and restroom facilities.

The convenience store would operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The site includes a self-service air tire pump, RV dumping, a bike rack, and outdoor picnic tables.  

It is one of four gas station/convenience store projects near the Airport Way/120 Bypass interchange.

One will go on the northwest corner of Daniels Street and Airport Way.

It also includes a Sonic drive thru. Construction plans for the fast food restaurant are currently being reviewed by the city.

Rotten Robbie’s has been approved to build a 4,800-square-foot convenience store with 16 fueling pumps on the southeast corner of Airport Way at Wawona Street.

A fourth gas station/convenience store combo has been proposed in connection with a commercial project on the northeast corner of Atherton Drive and Airport Way.
