Mason Ferrulli, who passed away this weekend, had a chance to meet up with his favorite player, slugger Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees.

Mason Ferrulli passed away this weekend.

The Ripon teen lost his long fight with cancer, his mother, Monica, announced on social media on Saturday.

“It gives (husband) Kyle and I peace to know he’s no longer suffering and instead walking, fishing, and in the presence of our Lord – thank you all for loving and supporting him so much,” she said in her post.

Mason Ferrulli had been battling anaplastic recurrent / metastatic ependymoma since 2017.

The Manteca High girls’ soccer program twice in recent years held the annual ‘Kicking for a Cure’ campaign, with proceeds helping the Ferrulli family during Mason’s medical treatments.

In Ripon, community members and businesses had “Pray for Mason” signs, supporting and praying for the local teen, who enjoyed outdoor sports as well as America’s pastime – his team was the New York Yankees, with Mason spending time with his favorite player in slugger Aaron Judge from Linden.

Folks from Teammason held prayer circles in recent days for the local teen at Lan Park.

Several fundraisers “In loving Memory of Mason” are being planned, including the 10 percent donation night at the Modesto Texas Roadhouse on 3037 Sisk Rd., from today (Tuesday) through Thursday.

Those looking to assist the family can also donate via the GoFundMe account at   https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-the-ferrulli-family-in-memory-of-mason.
