A fully-marked Manteca Police Department patrol car was involved in a collision late Tuesday night at the intersection of West Center Street and Almond Avenue.
Nobody was seriously injured.
According to the Manteca Police Department, the unidentified officer immediately radioed into dispatch at 9:45 p.m. that they had been involved in a collision, and paramedics responded to the scene. Neither the officer or the driver and passengers of the other vehicle appeared to have serious injuries, although one person was transported to a local hospital by ambulance out of an abundance of caution.
The collision is currently under investigation and no additional information was provided.
In a Facebook post that details the incident the Manteca Police Department stressed its gratitude that neither the officer nor the driver or passengers in the other vehicle were seriously injured, and they thanked the paramedics that responded quickly to the scene to assess those that were involved as well as the public that reached out to express concern for both the officer and those in the other vehicle.
