Manteca Unified 2023 grad ceremony season starting on May 18

The Manteca Unified School District released the 2023 Graduation/Promotion schedule.

It all begins on Thursday, May 18, with the Adult Transition Program Young Adult Program conducting its Commencement & Celebration event in the district office conference room at 10 a.m.

Later that day, New Vision High will honor students of the alternative education site in the multi-purpose room at 4 o’clock.

Calla High will conduct its commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Calvary Community Church.

On Monday, May 22, students graduating from the MUSD Online Academy will celebrate their achievements at 10 a.m. on the academy blacktop.

The first of the eighth-grade promotion events will be held later that day, with the Golden West ceremony at 3:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room.

The schedule from there is as followed:

·         Tuesday, May 23 – 9 a.m., Brock Elliott (school courtyard), George McParland (school courtyard), Mossdale (gym); 11 a.m., Lathrop Elementary (gym); 3 p.m., Woodward (multi-purpose room).

·         Wednesday, May 24 – 9 a.m., French Camp (multi-purpose room), George Komure (multi-purpose room), Joshua Cowell (courtyard), Neil Hafley (courtyard); 11 a.m., Great Valley (multi-purpose room), Stella Brockman (courtyard); 1:30 p.m., Lincoln (multi-purpose room); 2 p.m., August Knodt (gym), Sequoia (blacktop); 3:30 p.m., New Haven (gym); 4 p.m., Nile Garden (gym).

·         Thursday, May 25 – 10 a.m., Joseph Widmer (quad), Shasta (gym); 1:30 p.m., Veritas (gym).

The playing of Pomp & Circumstance is also scheduled for that Thursday, May 25, with celebrations taking place at Lathrop High (6 p.m., Bennie Gatto Field) and Sierra High (7 p.m., Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium).

On Friday, May 26, graduation will be held for those seniors at Weston Ranch High (6 p.m., stadium), East Union High (7 p.m., Spanos Center at UOP), and Manteca High (7 p.m., Guss Schmiedt Field).

The Manteca Adult School will close out the graduation / promotion season at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 8 (location of the event still to be determined).
