A proposal to build 13-attached two-story townhomes on the southwest corner of Alameda Street and Walnut Avenue is before the Manteca Planning Commission on Thursday.
The proposed townhomes are 1,288 square feet apiece with two bedrooms.
It involves two budlings with four units on the western edge of the property and a third building with five units on the eastern edge of the 0.89 acre parcel.
Access to the property with an address of 445 North Walnut will be from both Alameda and Walnut via driveways that will feature a concrete paver treatment at the entrances.
If approved, it will be the third townhome project approved that would serve as an infill project.
The other two are:
*The 59-unit Paradise Villas townhouse project on 3.14-acres on the west side of the 300 block of Pestana Avenue. Units range in size from 1,600 square feet for a 2-story townhome to 2,300 square feet for a 3-story townhome. It was approved in November 2021.
* The 43-unit Diamond Villas townhouse project approved in 2018 on 2.2 acres between Grant and Lincoln avenues.
Neither of the projects have been built.
All three townhome projects are located next to existing multiple family homes as well as in single family neighborhoods.’
The Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Civic Center council chambers.
