Manteca Rotary online auction ends Saturday

Nearly four dozen items ranging from the use of a Zephyr Cove home at Lake Tahoe for five days to a half of beef custom cut and wrapped are being auctioned by the Manteca Rotary Club in a bid to continue underwriting various activities ranging from scholarships to the staging of the community Thanksgiving dinner.

The online auction at www.32auctions.com/rotaryclubofmanteca is underway through Saturday, April 11, at 6 p.m.

The service club is trying to replace revenue from fundraisers it has had to cancel in the past 13 months due to COVID-19. Their goal is to raise $10,000 so they can continue with a wide variety of community endeavors that include among others:

*annual Scholarships to Manteca high, Sierra High, East Union High and Calla High students worth more than $10,000.

*sponsorship of Interact, a Rotary Youth Leadership Club in local high schools.

*annual support of Boys and Girls Club of Manteca and Lathrop.

*Manteca Public Library sign and reading materials for young children.

*downtown mural near the post office and support of the Mural Society.

*free annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner that serves over 2,500 dinners.

*Special Access Day at Dell’Osso Farms

*international service projects including eradication of polio worldwide.

*vision clinics and free eyeglasses as well as dental clinics in Honduras.

*distribution and fitting of prosthetic Hands in Honduras.

*downtown Manteca Santa hut.

 Among the auction items are:

*the use of a Lake Tahoe at Zephyr Cove home that sleeps up to 10 for five days.

*estate plan from the law offices of Eddie Torres.

*a half of beef custom cut and wrapped.

*mountain club resort stay at Kirkwood May 14-21 for seven nights.

*three nights Sept. 3-6 Labor Day weekend in a two bedroom suite that can sleep six at the Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing.

*$150 gift card from the Olive Oil Pantry.

*Best Choice Products foot massage machine.

*up to 1,500 square feet of carpet cleaning by Vince Haro Carpet Cleaning.

*Gnarly Head Chardonnay wine case.
