The Manteca Quilt & Fiber Arts Show takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the San Joaquin Office of Education, 2707 Transworld Drive, Stockton, off of Highway 99 at the Arch Road interchange.

There will be a large quilt display, multiple vendors, bed turning, demos, Quilt of Valor presentations, raffle baskets, and more.

The Manteca Quilters Guild has already held one event where two Quilts of Valor were awarded to two Manteca veterans — a father and son.

He enlisted when he was 18 and had the rank of private first class. Gallegos was discharged in 1957.
