The Manteca Police Department will be hosting Bike Rodeo 2023 on Saturday, May 13.

This free community event hosted by the Manteca Police Bike Unit is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Giles Memorial Park, 545 W. Alameda St., next to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca.

Officers will demonstrate the proper way of riding through the set-up course, in particular, showing how riders should deal with cross traffic along with opposing traffic situations.

They’ll also provide handouts with info on bicycle laws, helmet recommendations, and safety equipment.

Bike Rodeo 2023, will provide food and drinks along with K-9 Unit demonstrations, and a display of police vehicles, to name a few.

Those attending can bring their bike in for inspection and repairs while receiving safety and maintenance tips.

The Bike Rodeo, in addition, will feature World of Wheels bike store, Manteca Parks & Recreation, and the Mayors Committee activity booths.
