LOVE RIPON SATURDAY
Volunteers still needed for projects
LOVE RIPON
People of all ages and skill levels can help out by doing clean up and yard work.

Folks in Ripon take pride in their community.

Indicative of that is the annual Love Ripon, which is this Saturday with an 8:15 a.m. gathering and rally in front of the Community Center at the corner of Fourth and Locust streets.

This year’s event is dedicated to the Ripon Memorial Library. Volunteers of the library will be involved.

Over 550 volunteers tackled numerous projects around town during Love Ripon of a year ago.

“They removed graffiti from the bridge, cleaned up trash at the river, painted over 100 fire hydrants, beautified six schools with paint & plants, spread bark at four city parks, painted a house for a family in need, cleaned two yards, worked in two of our community gardens, and helped at Triple H Youth Ranch,” according to the Love Ripon website (www.loveripon.com).

Volunteers are needed this year at Triple H Youth Ranch, Ripon Consolidated Fire Station 1 & 2 (touch up work), the Ferrulli home (backyard beautification to help out the family of Mason Ferrulli), and Ripon Community Garden, to name a few.

Love Ripon is open to people of all ages and skill levels for a choice to do one of the 18 projects on the list. Donations are greatly appreciated.
