Love Manteca and Love Ripon are city-wide movements consisting of folks putting in their time and resources to help spruce up their respective communities.
This year’s annual volunteer day is April 29.
Love Manteca will have about 30 projects for that day.
Included will be pruning needed at Tidewater Bike Trail at Moffat Boulevard, going door-to-door to collect canned goods, cleaning up at the East Union Cemetery, painting curbs and fire hydrants, doing fence painting and landscaping work at HOPE Family Shelter, working the drive-thru Mobile Fresh at Second Harvest Food Bank, spreading mulch at play structures at the various city parks, and cleaning gutters along with weeding at the Raymus House, just to name a few.
Volunteers will be served a free breakfast at Northgate Park before projects get underway. Breakfast is being prepared by the Manteca Noon Rotary and a Sikh service group.
