April 30 promises to be a busy day in Ripon.
That’s the Saturday of the annual Love Ripon coupled with the Farm Day open house and the one-year anniversary event of Alpine Climbing Adventure Fitness.
Ripon City Councilman Daniel de Graaf said earlier this week that Love Ripon is “a great event and an opportunity for people to serve the community.”
Volunteers are still being accepted with nearly two dozen service projects on tap for that day. Organizers have partnered with the local fire department, schools, and city parks on the maintenance and beautification jobs needed throughout town.
Love Ripon is scheduled from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., kicking off with a rally at the Ripon Community Center.
Information is available by logging on to www.loveripon.com.
The Farm Day open house at the Dave Luis Agricultural Educational Facility, located at 21033 N. Ripon Road, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
RUSD families and the community are invited to attend this event featuring dairy cows, goats, pigs, sheep and steer.
Hotdogs, chips and drinks will be served.
The school farm open house is being hosted by Ripon Unified school board and the Ripon High School Farm Agricultural Advisory board.
Ripon Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kelly Donohue announced the one-year anniversary of the opening of Alpine Climbing Adventure Fitness at the recent Council meeting.
The celebration begins at 2 p.m.
Alpine gym is the indoor steel-framed gym at 1450 Garrison Way, featuring 19,333-square-foot facility dedicated to rock climbing.
