Lodi Comic Con takes place Sept. 30

Austin St. John was 19 when he made his debut in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in 1993.

Austin St. John was one of the original Power Rangers.

He was better known as the Red Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which debuted on Fox Kids in 1993.

St. John, who was 19 back then, will be one of the special guests at Lodi Comic Con on Saturday, Sept. 30.

This 10th annual event presented by Utility Telecom will be held at the Lodi Grape Festival, 413 E. Lockeford St., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Retired professional wrestler Kurt Angle, who is in the WWE Hall of Fame, is also among the special guests, joining the list that includes David Kaye (Transformers, X-Men Animated), Kellen Goff (My Hero Academia, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Overwatch), Tom Gibis (Naruto, Honey and Clover), Mary Gibbs (Monster Inc.), Brian Donovan (Naruto, Digimon), Michael Yurchak (Super Trooper 2, Sailor Moon Eternal), Gigi Edgley (Farscape), and C. Andrew Nelson (Dark Forces, Rebel Assault).

Among the special guest creators at the Lodi event will be Manteca High product Ramon Villalobos (Secret Wars, What If?), Mel Smith (Dead Ahead), Chris Marrinan (Nova, Wonder Woman), Kai Lun QuJohn Hageman (Charlie & Humphrey), Bordin Marsinkul (Hyperbooster), Chris Wisnia (Doris Danger), Fuzzy Joseph (The Warren Hope), Mel Smith (Dead Ahead, Becoming Frankenstein), John Hageman (Charlie & Humphrey), Justin Orr (Jusscope), Brandon McKinney (Static Shock, Avengers, The Batman), and Kai Lun Qu (Upper Deck Marvel).

Lodi Comic Con, in addition, will feature a variety of vendors featuring collectible cards, games, comics, anime, toys, moves, and more.
