The Lathrop Police Department reported Sunday the arrest of a 23-year-old driver from Tracy.

The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. when officers were alerted via state-of-the-art technology on a wanted vehicle with stolen plates.

“This vehicle had evaded several agencies and reached dangerous speeds, terrorizing other communities,” local police said via social media.

Lathrop police quickly located the vehicle at the Chevron station on Golden Valley and River Islands parkways.

“Despite the vehicle’s attempt to flee, our team successfully took custody of the driver without incident,” police noted.

The suspect was booked on multiple charges while the vehicle was towed away.
