The City of Lathrop will be having a Community Garage Sale in a little over a week.

Those interested in participating can become a vendor and declutter items around the house while, at the same time, make some extra cash.

Vendor spaces are available for $30 for an 18-by-18-foot space.

The City of Lathrop Community Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Lathrop Senior Center parking lot, 1707 5th St.

Youth flag football

The City of Lathrop’s Youth Flag Football League is open to local youngsters age 5-13.

Each player will receive an official NFL Flag jersey along with a mouthguard and play an eight-game schedule.

Registration is now being held and will close on July 13.

Practices are one hour, Monday through Friday, after 5 p.m.

Co-ed teen volleyball

A co-ed volleyball league for those ages 14-17 is scheduled for July 7 through Sept. 19.

This City of Lathrop program will focus on the development of a teen’s lifelong passion for the sport of volleyball by teaching participants the fundamentals followed by an eight-game schedule and an end-of-the-season tournament.

Registrations are now being accepted.
