The City of Lathrop Parks & Recreation will be hosting several events geared towards young people.

Kicking it off is Kids Night Out Madi’s Version, which will take place on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lathrop Generations Center, 450 Spartan Way.

Cost is $35 per child ages 5 through 12.

“Join us for a ‘fearless’ night packed with friendship bracelets, karaoke, themed food crafts, glitter face paint, and photo ops that are ‘enchanted’ to capture every moment,” said the City of Lathrop on social media.

The Madi’s Version-themed activities will also feature trivia challenges, pizza, and refreshments to go with the themed sweet treats.

Other upcoming events include:

·         Touch-A-Truck – The return of the up-close tour of vehicles such as tractors, garbage trucks, fire engines, and more is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those attending can also see their favorite vehicle in operation at the Lathrop Generation Center.

·         Bike Rodeo – The Bike Safety Rodeo will be held in conjunction with the Touch-A-Truck event on Sept. 7. Pre-registration is required given the limited space. Click on to www.ci.lathrop.ca.us/parksrec to reserve a spot.
