The Lathrop Animal Center will be hosting a ‘Clear the Shelter’ event on Saturday, Sept. 7.

The City of Lathrop shelter is located at 2112 E. Louise Ave.

The ‘Clear the Shelter’ event offers free adoptions and is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be Bark Bites demonstrations along with a how-to in making some of the animal shelter’s healthy treats for dogs.

Bone-A-Fide Dog trainers will also be on hand, displaying the proper handling techniques.

“An added bonus for adopting one of our amazing dogs, the trainers will be available to provide useful advice on how to work with your new best friend once you are home,” said the City of Lathrop website.

No appointment is necessary for ‘Clear the Shelter’ – no personal pets will be allowed.
