The Lathrop-Manteca Fire Department added 14 reserve firefighters to its ranks last week bringing its total to 25.

That’s in addition to 40 full-time firefighters in the department working out of three stations.

Battalion Chief Larry Madoski said this week that all the new reserves have completed their required training to serve Lathrop and the rural Manteca areas as professional firefighters. The Manteca Fire Department and the Lathrop-Manteca Fire Department back each other on calls that involve structures and major traffic collisions by providing additional manpower.

The new members of the department include Anthony Amarante, Jordyn Costa, Drew Davis, Dylan Foster, Vanessa Gonzalez, Cameron Green, Anthony Howard, Dane Julien, John Legasa, Jorge Pulido, Stefanie Rock, Ryann Treat, Nicholas Webb and Trevor Watrous.
