Lathrop High School has been recognized as a Model School by the Center for Model Schools.

The national program honors forward-thinking schools that drive transformation, inspire change, and implement groundbreaking strategies to improve student outcomes.

"We are honored to be recognized as a Model School," said Lathrop High Principal Melissa Beattie. "Lathrop High School’s recognition as a Model School is a testament to our unwavering commitment to student success.”

Lathrop High will be officially recognized at the prestigious 2025 Model Schools Conference in Washington D.C. in June.

As part of the recognition, the Lathrop High School Leadership Team will present “From Vision to Action: Building Aligned Systems to Support Learning” at the Model School Learning Conference 2025, engaging with over 5,000 educators to share insights on how Spartan Nation achieved three consecutive years of academic growth by implementing a collaborative leadership system grounded in collective responsibility, transparency, and trust.

“Chosen from a competitive group of schools nationwide, Lathrop High School has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success and innovation,” according to a release from the Center for Model Schools.

“By fostering a culture of collaboration, ambitious instruction, and continuous improvement, the school exemplifies excellence in education,”

Manteca Unified leadership noted Lathrop High School remains dedicated “to fostering a campus culture centered on student progress toward mastering learning standards”

“By empowering students to take ownership of their learning goals, the school encourages them to play an active, engaged role in their own academic growth.”
