The City of Lathrop Police Department reported that a DUI driver was arrested after striking three parked cars on Thursday night.
The incident occurred in the area of 5th Street and Shawn Court.
Local police were alerted via automated vehicle crash notification.
“As officer responded to the location, multiple residents began calling 911 and advising Lathrop police dispatch that a driver struck three separate parked vehicles,” police said Friday on social media.
Officers arrived at the scene and contacted the driver, who, they determined, had been driving a blood alcohol content that was roughly three times the legal limit.
Fortunately, no pedestrians were involved.
The drive was uninjured, and was booked into San Joaquin County Jail.
Don’t drink and drive, Lathrop police said, adding: “Plan ahead and designate a sober driver, utilize public transportation, or call a taxi or rideshare.”
