Kaiser is preparing to expand the emergency room at the healthcare system’s Manteca hospital on West Yosemite Avenue.

It is one of several projects currently going through the plan check process with the City of Manteca.

Kaiser officials have indicated they are also looking at expanding other healthcare facilities in Manteca.

Prologis — a San Francisco-based real estate company specializing in the space needs of the consumption side of the global supply chain — has plans for a distribution style building that the city is also reviewing.

The project is in the 400 block of Spreckels Avenue.

It backs up to homes along Cowell Street in the Powers Tact neighborhood. To the south is American Modular while to the north are medical offices and J&M farm equipment.

There will be 8,000 square feet of office space included in the footprint. The building will have 56 truck loading docks on the north side of the building along with parking space for 63 truck trailers.

The site will have 180 car parking spaces with some of those adjacent to a sound wall separating the property from nearby homes.

In addition the third storefront cannabis applicant — Off the Charts at 2325 Yosemite Avenue — has tenant improvement plans being reviewed.

Off the Charts Manteca will be in a small business park that has been populated over the years by auto care, construction, window blinds contractor, and other similar businesses.  It is occupying space in the front that has storefront characteristics.

It is the most highly visible of the three locations from a main arterial given there is nothing between the storefront and Yosemite Avenue other than a parking lot.

It is on the north side of Yosemite Avenue with the municipal wastewater treatment plant is to the southwest and across the street.
