The City of Ripon is seeking proposals from firms or individuals to lease and manage the Jack Tone Golf Course.

The current 30-year lease is set to expire at the end of the year (Dec. 31, 2024).

As a result, the City of Ripon is currently seeking proposals from those individuals or firms with experience and ability to enter into a long-term lease with the City to operate, maintain, and improve the existing Jack Tone Golf Course.

The golf course located at 1500 Ruess Road has been an important part of the City of Ripon as well as the Parks & Recreation Department, said Director of Recreation Kye Stevens on Tuesday.

“It is our desire to provide all City residents with quality parks, facilities, and recreation opportunities,” he added.

Proposals are due by 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 23.

Since its opening in 1997, the Jack Tone Golf Course, an 18-hole executive course and practice facility, has catered to golfers of all skill levels.

Three generations of the Buzzini family – Vincent, George Sr., and owner George Jr. – have owned and operated Jack Tone Golf Course.
