Manteca’s faith community is exploring how they can work together to help address crime in Manteca.

The Manteca Community Interfaith Community (MICA) Appeal will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday, April 10, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church 910 E North Street, Manteca.

The purpose of the meeting is to consult on the ways that everyone including the members of Faith communities may have a useful role and play a constructive part to reduce crime in Manteca.

MICA holds events throughout the year, devoted to “bringing together people of various faiths, beliefs, and traditions around the common goals of service, education, and peace for all people.”

Members of MICA include St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Transformed through Hope Ministries, The Sikh Community, St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Islamic Center of Manteca, The Baha’i Faith of Manteca, and the Seventh-day Adventist church.
