The Ripon Unified school board Monday announced several changes for next year.
For starters, new hire Rachel Henley will be the principal at Ripon Elementary School, taking over the top administrative position from Dana Phelps, who will move over to the district office to serve as the new Director of Curriculum & Instruction.
This comes on the heels of longtime director Kathy Coleman’s retirement effective at the end of this school year.
Jesus (JJ) Ramirez was also in attendance at the monthly session. He was hired at the April meeting as the new vice principal at Ripon High.
A product of Manteca Unified, Ramirez is the Athletic Director/VP at East Union High, having also served in a similar-type role at Lathrop High.
