A variety of police and other emergency vehicles from throughout the state will be on display from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ripon Community Center.

The Ripon Emergency Car Show on Saturday will feature a variety of military, fire, ambulance, and law enforcement vehicles.

The annual event hosted by Ripon Police Department, Menlo Park Police Department, and the California Law Enforcement Historical Society will take place at the Ripon Community Center, 334 W. 4th St., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“(This) is free for spectators and is a family-oriented event promoting public safety, featuring various agencies from all over the state,” said Ripon police Thursday via social media.

The display will include military, fire, ambulance, and law enforcement emergency vehicles, both new and old.

Those in attendance will have an opportunity to meet and interact with many of the first responders.

“The community center will be filled with a wide array of impressive vehicles. There may even be a helicopter landing and/or flyover, followed by an emergency vehicle parade throughout the south side of town,” police added.

In addition, a parade through town is planned, starting 1 p.m. at the Ripon Community Center.

The parade route will travel east on to 4th Street, turning south along South Stockton Avenue, and west on to Doak Boulevard.

From Doak Boulevard, the parade will continue north on to Highland Avenue, completing the loop by going east on 4th Street enroute to the community center.

“A great location to view the parade would be at Lan Park,” said local police.

A sneak preview is planned for tonight (Friday) at 6 o’clock, with some of the emergency vehicles doing a “cruise” from the Ripon Community Center to Sonic Drive-in, 1483 Colony Rd.
