The admission-free event will feature a variety of cultural dishes along with live music, dance, fun, and games.
“Come and immerse yourself in the Egyptian culture filled with family fun for all ages,” said St. Mark Egyptian Festival-Ripon via social media.
The public is invited to the festival, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (Saturday), and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church, 315 Orange Ave.
The food booths will again offer up cuisines such as shish kabob, falafel, beef shawarma, stuff grape leaves, baklava, zalabia, macaroni bechamel, and filo cheese triangles, to name a few.
The Pharaoh Bazaar boutique will be open as well. Included will be everything Egyptian, from traditional clothes, apparel, souvenirs.
Next to the outdoor food booths will be the Coptic book store.
As for fun, those attending can get a henna tattoo, face paint, and games along with a bounce house for children.
Church tours will be offered every hour during the two days.
The Egyptian Festival, in addition, will have special cafes, both hot and cold, consisting of Arabic and smoothies.
