Manteca Youth Focus is hosting a Community Unity Benefit Concert Saturday at the Sierra High cafeteria, 1700 Thomas St.
The two-hour event – from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. – will feature live music by local talent including bands from Central Valley Rock Academy and Sierra High, along with special guest Colby Jeffers.

The “Unity” of this special event of bringing the different groups of Manteca together “to share how we are bettering our community” is being made possible by Manteca Youth Focus City Ambassador Erfan Ballew, who is a student at Sierra.
He’s gathered a “Community” consisting of Manteca Youth Focus, Sierra High, Community & Faith leaders, Healthy Room Project, Kiwanis, MICA, Agape Village, Boys & Girls Club, Give Every Child A Chance, Wide Horizons, VFW, Second Harvest Food Bank, Chest of Hope, and Rotary Club.
Ballew will serve as host of the Manteca Youth Focus function, introducing the various religious leaders, elected officials, and musical acts.
Several political leaders, clergy and community leaders like Mayor Gary Singh of Manteca, David Breitenbucher, the City Council Member at City of Manteca, the U.S. House of Representatives member Josh Harder, County Supervisor Tom Patti, MICA members like Pastor Cynthia, Imam Muhammed, and the Catholic Church have confirmed they will attend.
Some of the specifics of the event will include Colby Jeffers from Arizona who will perform some of his Bahá’í inspired music like New World.
Students will share their music; charities will share their life changing impact, & and there will be some Indian performances.
Concessions will also be available.
