Cheema Freightlines broke ground on a new state-of-the-art terminal and shop in Lathrop last week.

The project at 16200 McKinley Avenue will be completed in three phases.

In attendance was Mayor of Lathrop Sonny Dhaliwal, Lathrop Police Shief Stephen Sealy and LPD staff, friends, the Cheema family, and current employees of Cheema Freightlines.

 “With each shovelful of earth turned, we embark on a journey that will redefine the landscape of our industry and propel Cheema Freightlines to new heights of success”.

Dhaliwal prersented awarded Cheema Freightlines with a certificate of recognition.

 “The city appreciates your business investment and commitment to the community” shared Dhaliwal said.

This 18-year-old family business began with Darshan Cheema and his son Harman.

They started out with just one truck and a refrigerated trailer.

 With remarkable growth, Cheema Freightlines now operates a fleet of over 500 trucks and 2000 trailers, with offices and terminals across the West Coast, from Pacific, WA to Phoenix, AZ.

They have brokerage offices in various locations including Pacific, WA; Missoula, MT; and Oxnard, CA.
