The 101st annual Manteca Chamber of Commerce installation and awards dinner is taking place Friday, July 26, at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Among the honorees are:

*Large Business of the Year: Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites

*Small Business of the Year: Besitos

*Non-Profit of the Year: United Way of San Joaquin County – Manteca Community Council

*Mabel Brocchini Community Service Award: Dani Daly

*Gladys Brock Chamber Service Award: Chuck Crutchfield

*Lifetime Achievement Award: Dave Bricker

*Ambassador of the Year: Nina Payne

*Board Member of the Year: Dani Bettencourt

Tickets are $50 per person.

The social hour is at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and the awards are at 6:30 p.m.

Joann Beattie has come out of retirement to again lead the chamber as executive director after her replacement, Taylor Hasal, accepted another position.

Beattie, who had served for 9½  years when she stepped down last June, is the second longest serving chamber leader after the late Gladys Brock.

During her tenure the chamber has grown and added new programs supporting businesses and benefitting the community.

*Record membership that now stands at 320.

*Took over the street fair the chamber started nearly 26 years ago  that is  now known as the Crossroads Street Fair/Watermelon Festival.

*Launched the Christmas fair that is now a two-day event..

*Conducted its first bus tour designed to let businesses and employers see firsthand the advantages of doing business in Manteca-Lathrop.

That is in addition to weekly coffees and evening mixers for networking, coordinating seminars aimed at helping small businesses, promoting tourism, providing information for those contemplating moving here or opening a business here, and staging the annual twilight Christmas parade among other endeavors.

Prior to taking over the business organization in February of 2014, Beattie served Agape Village Foster Care as senior vice president for resources and development.

She owned the Manteca Janitorial Supply Company before joining Agape Villages
