Volunteers needed Saturday to make it happen

Pete Paulsen is seeking volunteers for Saturday’s Volunteer Work Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at his French Camp ranch located at 1504 W. Bowman Road.

Pete Paulsen has a goal to distributing 300 bicycles to underprivileged children come this holiday season.

His free giveaway is scheduled for Dec. 14.

Paulsen has since announced that this could be his last year for Bikes for Kids, his non-profit organization that takes pre-owned bikes, in turn, refurbishing them back to good use.

In order to get the donated bikes ready for that big day, Bikes for Kid will be having a Volunteer Work Day on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Paulsen Ranch, 1504 W. Bowman Road, French Camp.

“We still have lots of bikes that are still in need of some TLC,” according to the recent Bikes for Kids social media post.

Earlier this week, Bikes for Kids received a sizable donation of bicycles from the Manteca Police Department.

Paulsen noted that he has nearly 200 all but ready to go and is hoping for more help in fixing up more of the donated bikes.

Those seeking to lend a helping hand can do so by texting 209.605.9426.
