The Ripon Chamber of Commerce just announced the 2025 Almond Blossom princesses.

They’ll take part in the Dec. 12 Christmas Light Parade along historic downtown beginning at 6 p.m.

These 10 princesses – Samantha Lackey, Mckenzie Spear, Emme Wilbur, Addyson Wilmshurst, Rhianna Villanueva, Sage Petersen, Hayden Harper, Camden Downs, Jayden Quayle, and Sophia Hernandez – will be vying for the title of Almond Blossom Queen / Miss Ripon.

They’ll continue to be involved in various events and activities leading up to the annual Almond Blossom Festival at the end of February.

The AB Queen and Miss Ripon Competition is open to high school juniors who either live in Ripon or attend Ripon High or Ripon Christian.

They’re also required to sell raffle tickets, and do a judges’ interview, speech contest, fashion show, and essay writing, to name a few.

The reigning queen is Ripon High’s Kamalpreet Kaur.

During the past year, she’s served as a public figure and volunteer at all of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce events, including ribbon-cutting ceremonies at new businesses as well as the recently completed RHS Career Technical Education Center.
